Summer Containers

This summer, the horticulture staff at the Ambler Arboretum of Temple University put together some really fun containers, so I wanted to show them off.  They are still looking great after a summer that started hot and dry and ended extremely wet.

Containers near the Herb Garden
Simple potted bromeliads near the Main Formal Garden fountain
A collection of mixed containers in the Main Formal Garden
A striking urn planted with Aechmea blanchetiana and Gossypium herbaceum 'Nigra' (Black Cotton) in the Main Formal Garden
Dwarf papyrus, hibiscus, coleus, and petunias
Bananas, euphorbia, coleus, and holly fern
