I don't know about you, but I'm ready for Spring! Lately, I have been drooling over seed catalogs and planning out my veggie garden. A few of my favorite seed sources are
Renee's Garden Seeds,
Johnny's Seeds, and
Totally Tomatoes. So far, I have ordered 18 seed packets from Renee's Garden Seeds. Here are a few of the new varieties that I'm excited to try...
I'm also planning on growing a few types of squash, lettuce, sweet potatoes, more tomatoes, herbs, eggplant, peppers, corn... and the list goes on! Of course, I still have my fabulous rhubarb plants that should have overwintered nicely in my garden. I also already have a long list of new things that I want to can and preserve, so the next step is to plan out my seed starting schedule, and wait for Spring!
Ahhh! I am in love! I am going to place an order too. For some reason, I never thought there were any other options for seeds other than home depot. I can't wait for that pretty swiss chard! xoxo

I wish I had your energy and fewer racoons. Please post photos of your plot once it starts growing.

Are you really excited about the golden beets or are you just growing them again for me? Or, I should say, are you growing them for the mice since we never actually saw the beets last year ;)
ReplyDeleteThe beets are mostly for you Amy, but they are so pretty that I'm happy to give them a try! I actually think I might like them if I grow them myself. I also hear that beet foliage can be cooked and eaten like chard, so I want to give that a try!
