Double Wedding Ring Quilt

I finally finished my double wedding ring quilt!  It is hand appliqued and hand quilted with scalloped edges.  This is a quilt that has been in my UFO (unfinished objects) pile for years, so I feel soooo accomplished!

I have a little confession to make about this quilt: I started this as a wedding present for my friend Kristen over 5 years ago.  I didn't finish it in time so I bought her something else.  I slowly worked on it for a few years, coming back to it every now and then.  Then when Kristen was pregnant with her little boy, Aidan, I figured that I would finish the quilt as a baby gift.  But by that time I actually was a little too attached to it to give it away, so I ended up making her another quilt and I kept the wedding ring quilt for myself.  Sorry Kristen!

  4. I have nearly finished my double wedding ring after nearly 22 years, in my defense it is for a king size bed and i have made 15 quilts in-between. but now i have the dilemma i have no idea how to finish off the scolloped edges as the pattern is long gone in my many moves. Can anyone help with diagrams or some instructions. Thanks Jo

  5. Check the website www.quiltville.com. She tells you how to make BIAS binding to finish a quilt with curved edges. Hope it helps.
